So what does your guide do when he is not guiding?
1. The Lord is the centerpiece in our families life. It's not a relegion
we practice, but a way of life. I want those that fish with me to know serving God is not a list of do's and don'ts, but living
life free in Him. I don't push my beliefs on anyone, but will gladly share them when asked.
2. Family life. I
have been blessed with a wonderful wife Amanda, and a wonderful daughter Minda. My wife has spent many hours hiking and documenting
WNC with me, and I'm glad our daughter has the same passion for the putdoors.
I do alot of fishing when I'm not fishing. I enjoy fishing for anything from small wild Trout, to tasty Bluegill and
Crappie, all the way up to the top predator the Muskie. The Smallmouth is my favorite fish. The Smallmouth is very moody,
a scrappy fighter, and I feel a sense of accomplishment when any size Smallie enters the boat.
although it may be obvious I have had no training, photography is something I truly enjoy. Western NC has countless
opportunities for nature photography, from nearly 1,000 waterfalls, to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and vast spans of national
Write. I enjoy writing an outdoors column for the "worlds smallest daily newspaper" the Tryon Bulletin. I like
to relay the outdoor experience to those that may not have the chance to get outdoors.
6. Construction work. I have done construction since I
graduated high school and owned my own business since about 1995.
7. And lastly I'd like to say I am glad to call the U.S.A. home.
While the critism seems neverending, I believe this is a great country, and I am very thankful to those that have fought and
died to keep me and my family safe. Thank you.
